A FAMILY CHURCH FELLOWSHIP WHERE THE WORD IS TAUGHT AND THE SPIRIT OF GOD FLOWS
Years ago, I was the youth director in a Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, and I had a large group of probably 30
or 40 kids. I enjoyed that and loved those kids and taught
them the Word the best that I could. We did lots of fun things.
We had a great time.

I was farming then. Everything in our life was just the way
that you would want it. It was early summer; the crops were
just coming up. I was cultivating some corn that had just
peeked through the ground. I was just creeping along. Right
out in the middle of that field, God spoke to me. It was so
plain that there was no way that I could not have heard Him.

He said to me, "If someone came out here today and asked
you what he needed to do to be saved, what would you tell
him?" I said that I would tell him to come to church with me
on Sunday. He never said another word. I thought, "Oh boy, I
got an A on that one." I was so excited about hearing from
God and then getting the right answer.

The next day, I was in the same field. Right in the middle of
that field, God spoke to me again. It was just like the day
before. It was so plain. Did I hear it with my ears? Well, I'm
not sure just where I heard it, but my hair heard it. It was so
loud! He said, "If you were driving down the highway today
and you came upon an automobile wreck and there was a
man all bloody and wounded terribly in the ditch, if you picked
him up and were trying to comfort him some way, and he
looked up at you and said, 'Mister, I'm going to hell; what can
I do to be saved?' What would you tell him?"

I said, "I don't know."

He said, "You probably should find out."

I believe we are at the time where this may be the most
important lesson that we could learn. It is probably more
important than learning about getting people healed. This is
probably more important than getting people delivered from
devils. You know, you can get people delivered from a lot of
things if you can just get them saved. That's what we are
going to talk about: how to talk to people and how to minister
to them.

John 3:1-4
1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a
ruler of the Jews.
2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi,
we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one
can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to
you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is
old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and
be born?"

I want you to notice the statement that Jesus made: No man,
nobody can enter into the kingdom of God unless he's been
born again.

This is a truth concerning every person on the earth. The only
way to have eternal life and go to heaven is to be born again.
There is no other way. Since this is the only way, we need to
find out how to get born again. We need to find out how to
tell others how to get born again.
